TDU 2015

Today I am blogging about my recent trip to Tour Down Under. I went with a wonderful group of people from  in Brisbane. Our group was from MB Cycling.

Marcel Bengston was the boss. SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES Tammy and Kath were  support extraordinaire. Our wonderful wonderful Ride Captains were Deb Aitcheson, David Shelberg and John Kimlin.SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESSAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES I rode 532kms in the week and climbed 7395m.

I had no mechanicals and no flat tyres.

I came home with no injuries.

I loved the company, the riding, the food and the scenery.

I rode with a beautiful bunch of people. 2015-01-26 15.05.01 2015-01-26 15.04.57   The scenery was beautiful.SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESI loved the bikes. • I don’t like high sugar electrolyte drinks and bars. They disagree with my tummy and I need to find a more healthy raw way of fuelling for nutrition on rides.
  • I am a good rider with good skills. I am not a fast rider.
  • Everyone gets tired and has the potential for injury if they do not look after themselves and recover properly.
  • David Tucker hurts sometimes……..

My Best moment was climbing the back of Checkers Hill and not getting off until I crossed the top of the hill! 2015-01-20 12.32.39 Thank you to Marcel, Kath, Tammy, Deb, John and Deb for their amazing support and organisation. Thank you to my fellow riders for a wonderful week. I look forward to seeing you all on the road again soon.

Enjoyed following you up that big hill. The crowd was cheering every painful pedal stroke very loudly for you, I’ve never experienced that before! Very glad to have met you and David. I’m kinda glad David Tucker shared some of the hurt too. I was beginning to wonder what sort of machine category he belonged to….. Great times! Thanks Jen, and a very big Well Done!!!
