Day 38

It is Sunday today. I am feeling much better. Thanks to Robyn McAuliffe for her advice about a great travel app – Travel Health. I had antibiotics and gastro stop – both very effective and essential when travelling to places like Morocco. Today we explored the souks, bazaars, gardens and palaces of Marrakech. It was an amazing day! Marrakech is known as the Red City as many of the buildings are made from red sandstone. The old city square is filled with snake charmers, henna artists, monkeys and many other sights and smells. I couldn’t be convinced to hold a snake or even get close enough to have a photo! The souks and bazaars were full of amazing colors, smells and stuff. David and I are not very good at bartering so only managed to buy some scarfs and little handbags for our girls.

At the end of the day we returned to our beautiful hotel that was an oasis away from the sensory overload of the city.
