Day 2

Today we visited Gallery Lafayette . It was a beautiful building that I was expecting to have lots of little shops inside. It was just a big department store that we had a Starbucks coffee at. It was worth visiting for the inside.

After Gallery Lafayette we visited the Opera House – wow what a building!
Next stop was The Louvre. I had bought the tickets online so we wouldn’t have to stand in a cue. It took us a while to find the place to pick up the tickets because you couldn’t print them or use your mobile phone as proof of purchase. Pretty old fashioned in this technological age. Anyway we found the tourism place that gave us our tickets and then off we went and we didn’t have to stay in the enormous cue. We spent a couple of hours in the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa among other things. I think that has done me for another twenty years ( I visited the Louvre just before David and I got married).
